Main menu

 

Action submenu

  1. Execute now
    Executes the event listed in ' 5 '.

  2. Reset timer
    Stops countdown. To start countdown again press ' 4 ' button.

  3. Set\Activate and hide
    Allows you to set all the options that are necessary to specify for the event listed in ' 5 ', applies your settings, and minimizes the program window to the system tray. It can be restored by double-clicking the left mouse button on the Slawdog Smart Shutdown icon on the system tray.

  4. Exit
    Exits the program.

Settings submenu

  1. Set time
    Displays a dialog where you can set time which will activate what is listed in ' 5'.

  2. Reminder properties
    Displays a dialog where you can specify text for message reminder.

  3. Hang up properties
    Displays a dialog where you can set the network/internet connection to be disconnected.

  4. Network shut down properties
    Displays a dialog where you can set name of computer to shutdown/restart and other additional properties. (Enabled when using Windows 2000, Windows XP, or .NET Server only).

  5. Global options...
    Displays a dialog where you can set additional program options.

    Displays this help file.

    1. Slawdog Web Site: slawdog.com
      Opens browser window and loads the Slawdog web site start page.

    2. Smart Shutdown Home Page
      Opens browser window and loads the Slawdog Smart Shutdown home page.

    3. Support Web Page
      Opens browser window and loads the Slawdog support web page.

    4. User Forums
      Opens browser window and loads the Slawdog web user forums

    5. Suggest Improvements
      Opens browser window and loads the Slawdog Product Suggestions web page.

    6. Other Slawdog Products
      Opens browser window and loads the Slawdog products listing web page.

  3. Send feedback\Report a bug
    Displays a dialog where you can Send feedback\Report.

  4. Download latest version
    Downloads the latest version available on the Slawdog E-Solutions, Inc. web site.

  5. Program Restore

    1. Reset program default profile
      This operation will set program default profile to first use state. As a result you will lose all your tunings in program default profile. NOTE: You will have to exit Smart Shutdown after this operation. If you have other copies of Smart Shutdown running, please close them before continuing. Otherwise,
      you might experience crash.

    2. Reset all program settings
      This operation will: reset all program settings; delete all profiles; reset program default profile; set program to first launch state. NOTE: You will have to exit Smart Shutdown after this operation. If you have other copies of Smart Shutdown running, please close them before continuing. Otherwise,
      you might experience crash.

  6. About Slawdog Smart Shutdown...
    Displays information on the program version, new features, and copyright.

 

System Tray popup menu

  1. Show window
    Shows main program window.

  2. Turn off
    Turns off computer immediately. NOTE: If your computer does not support turn off feature, Smart Shutdown will shut down Windows instead.

  3. Reboot
    Reboots computer immediately.

  4. Log off
    Logs off immediately.

  5. Stand by
    Computer goes to the stand by mode immediately. (Not displayed in Windows NT 3.51/4.0)

  6. Hibernate
    Hibernates computer immediately. (Displayed when using Windows 2000, Windows XP, or .NET Server only).

  7. Lock
    Locks computer immediately. (Displayed when using Windows 2000, Windows XP, or .NET Server only).
