How to use command line:

You can use these command line parameters in Windows shortcuts, the DOS command line, programs like Windows Commander and so on. Use the following scheme:

[path to the this program and program file name (Smart Shutdown) [parameter (shutdown, logoff, hibernate, standby, reboot, lock, hangup or startup)]

For example, if you have installed Slawdog Smart Shutdown to "C:\Program files\Slawdog\Smart Shutdown\" and you want to reboot Windows, you must time the following string into the command line:

C:\Program files\Slawdog\Smart Shutdown\Smart Shutdown.exe reboot

If you want to make a shortcut on your desktop (or somewhere else) that will reboot Windows when you click on it, follow these easy steps:

1. Create a shortcut to the Slawdog Smart Shutdown program.

2. Open "Properties" on this shortcut and find the "Target" (located on the "Shortcut" tab) edit box.

3. Add " reboot" to the end of the string displayed in the "Target" edit box.

Example of "Target" edit box:

Before: "C:\Program files\Slawdog\Smart Shutdown\Smart Shutdown.exe"

After: "C:\Program files\Slawdog\Smart Shutdown\Smart Shutdown.exe" reboot
