This topic contains the descriptions of errors which are handled by ErrorGuard system.
NOTE: Bold text indicates a type of an error.
Dependable Timer System (DTS)
This error reports that the system time was changed. The timer system of Smart Shutdown is based on system time. In order to ensure that the event specified will be executed on time, Smart Shutdown reports about any modification of your system time.
Registry
Smart Shutdown stores all its variables in the system registry. This error indicates that the registry variables of Smart Shutdown were damaged or have improper values. The program may try to recover them. However, there is no guarantee that it will eliminate the problem. If the problem persists after the recover process, you should exit the program, delete all Smart Shutdown registry entries located in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Slawdog\Smart Shutdown (For example, using Windows Registry Editor) and launch the program again.
Registry A
This error indicates that Smart Shutdown cannot access or modify its registry entries. You should report this problem to Slawdog.
Shutdown
Errors of this type indicate that Smart Shutdown has failed to execute the specified Shutdown function.
Unexpected
These errors may cause the program to work incorrectly, and usually indicate bugs in the program or system instability. You should report such errors to Slawdog.
Eject Removable Media
Smart Shutdown has failed to eject removable media. The drive could be fixed, locked, in use, obstructed, or damaged. There are many other possible reasons, but we are unable to list them all.
