Slawdog Smart Shutdown LX is the successor of the original Smart Shutdown, a free, commercial-quality shutdown utility for Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, and 2003. In addition to being able to shut down, log off, reboot, lock, turn off, stand by, hibernate, disconnect from the Internet, and display a reminder, you can now wake on LAN, Kill processes, run screensavers, turn the monitor on and off, and reboot the Windows shell-- all automatically, manually, or with a single click. In addition to the new actions, there are many new ways to trigger the actions, as well as many new options and visual settings to help automate your system shutdowns.
Slawdog Smart Shutdown will run on all versions of Windows. |
This is our first public release of Smart Shutdown LX. We welcome all who are interested to try out this new version of Smart Shutdown. However, we strongly warn everyone that an "alpha" version represents incomplete software, and we advise anyone who wishes to have the most stable, completely working copy of Smart Shutdown to use the current Smart Shutdown Classic 2005 version. |
